It has been another success for the Academy Awards as they once again gather the best of the best in the movie and film industry in a red carpet 2010 Oscars Awards night. Academy Awards revealed the winners of Oscar Awards on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the Kodak Theatre, Hollywood.

So who are the Oscar Awards 2010 winners? Just like what has been expected,The Hurt Locker topped the night as it gathers six awards including best picture. The Hurt Locker beaten other nine nominees for the Best Picture which includes box office hit Avatar, The Blind Side, District 9, An Education, Inglourious Basterds, Precious, A Serious Man, Up, Up In The Air. Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow also won the top directing honor, making her the first woman to take the prize.

Avatar,one of the early favorites ended up winning just three awards in technical categories: art direction, cinematography and visual effects. Jeff Bridges won best actor for "Crazy Heart", Sandra Bullock took the best-actress for the "The Blind Side." Christoph Waltz won best supporting actor for "Inglourious Basterds," And Mo'Nique top supporting actress for "Precious."

The Academy Awards will be once again give recognition to the people of the entertainment industry, particularly in films and movies. The 82nd annual Academy Awards kick off on Sunday, March 7, 2010. The hosting duo is the first time to happen since Oscars fetured Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase in 1987. The official roster of Oscars Awards 2010 nominees were announced on February 2, 2010 and this year, 10 major Hollywood films were nominated for best picture.
